SWMAG Plate magnets are widely used for removing Tramp Iron such as Bolts, Nuts, Bits of Wire, Nails and other casual contamination from free flowing materials, like corn, sugar, flour, gravel, plastic and other granular materials. As the material pass over or under the magnet plate, tramp metal is pulled to the magnet's working surface and held in place until removed.
Plate magnet can be designed in a wide of models, configurations and sizes to meet with specific operations and plant conditions. They are usually carried in angled chutes, ducts, spouts or suspended above conveyors, screens and feed trays to protect against occasional damage to the plant caused by bits.
(1). Flush Face (FF):
Flush Face Plate Magnets deliver optimum tramp metal separation performance when used in above-the flow chute or belt applications. When installed over the material flow, the powered Flush Face plate magnets deliver continuous magnetic protection for downstream processing equipments by lifting ferrous tramp out of the product flow stream.
(2). Exposed Pole (EP):
Exposed Pole (EP) Plate Magnets are engineered to deliver high performance tramp metal separation in low volume applications. These applications are for below-the-flow installations where the product flows over the magnet face.
(3). Spout Magnet(SM):
Diverter Spouts provide maximum ferrous tramp metal separation in high volume chute applications where wash-off can be a problem.
(4). Suspended Plate Magnet:
Suspended Magnets are designed for high separation performance in over-the-belt conveyor applications. These heavy duty permanent magnets incorporating all welded construction are particularly effective in removing tramp metal in high volume applications.
Supplied with tapped mounting holes in the backplate and four eye bolts, these suspended magnets can be rigidly mounted with threaded bolts or hung by eye bolts using cable or chain systems.
